Position Summary
Seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to drive business growth in the water and wastewater treatment industry. Responsible for developing new client relationships, managing existing accounts, and promoting treatment equipment, chemicals, and services to municipal utilities, industrial clients, and engineering firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business leads and develop relationships with municipal water utilities, industrial facilities, and engineering consultants
- Sell water treatment equipment, chemicals, instrumentation, and maintenance services
- Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and contract negotiations
- Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and recommend treatment solutions
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop customized solutions
- Maintain CRM database and provide regular sales forecasts and reports
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events
- Provide post-sale support and ensure customer satisfaction
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Business
- Technical background in water treatment or environmental systems preferred
Experience:
- 3-5 years B2B sales experience, preferably in water treatment, environmental services, or industrial equipment
- Experience selling to municipal utilities, industrial facilities, or engineering firms preferred
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience with technical sales and solution-based selling
Certifications:
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel (up to 50%)
- Water treatment industry certifications preferred
- Professional sales training certifications preferred
Technical Requirements
- Understanding of water treatment processes (filtration, disinfection, biological treatment)
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies and equipment
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to read P&IDs, technical specifications, and engineering drawings
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and proposal preparation tools
- Strong presentation and technical communication skills
