Job Summary:
The Scaffolding Salesman is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing client relationships by promoting and selling scaffolding products and services. This role involves identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, construction firms, industrial clients, and developers.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets for scaffolding products and services.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand project requirements.
- Prepare and present quotations, bids, and proposals.
- Collaborate with estimators, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of scaffolding systems, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Ensure client satisfaction through excellent service and after-sales support.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales, and project progress in CRM software.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the scaffolding, construction, or industrial services sector.
- Good understanding of scaffolding types, materials, and applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (preferred).
- Self-motivated with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to sites and client locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in scaffolding or construction-related sales.
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
