- Provide technical input into the following:
- Support the Lead Commissioning Engineer in developing and maintaining Dubai Petroleum’s Commissioning System and Procedures.
- Support the Lead Commissioning Engineer in implementing Dubai Petroleum’s Mechanical Completion System instrumentation including input to development of Philosophy, Procedures, Work packs and Test sheets.
- Review of Interface requirements between Company Engineering and Commissioning teams.
- Provide input to Project Design considering Commissioning requirements of projects.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior commissioning engineers and technicians
- Act as a key point of contact for instrumentation commissioning within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of commissioning strategies and schedules for instrumentation systems.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure smooth handover of systems.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex instrumentation and control system issues during commissioning phases.
- Oversee the calibration, functional testing, and performance verification of instrumentation systems.
- Prepare and deliver detailed progress reports, test records, and punch lists.
- Champion HSE standards in all commissioning activities, ensuring team compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation of best practices.
- Provide Instrument commissioning input and assistance during engineering design phase of projects to ensure procedures and documentations (such as engineering specifications, practices, documentation and policies) are in place to commission, close out and handover projects to Production which meets the Company’s Standards.
- Support the Lead Commissioning Engineer in developing mechanical completion and commissioning plans, on a project-by-project basis, providing electrical systems input for each project.
- Propose opportunities during Engineering design and for operations which could help improve operability / reduce costs by promoting or improving cost effectiveness and efficiency of projects and by assisting engineers with department objectives and budget.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (SATs) for critical instrumentation and control systems, as required.
- Prepare Commissioning Work Packs.

Expected:
- Degree in engineering discipline, alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence
- Minimum 10 years + Oil and Gas Brownfield experience Including and 2 years + with current employer.
- Typically requires two (2) to four (4) years of progressively more responsible pertinent experience.
- Preferably candidate with experience in Brownfield Modification and worked in renowned companies that worked with DPE
- Ability to create functional and cost-effective designs that meet specification and requirements with supervision
- Some capability for conceptualizing designs
- Proficient in use of design software and Database systems related to Engineering functions within their discipline
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline
- Able to apply academic theory in a practical context.
- Awareness of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution
- Developing level of knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.
- Developing level of competence in own discipline in the execution of assigned tasks.
- Developing level of knowledge of industry and technology development within discipline area
- Working knowledge of specific procedures and applications
- Some understanding of internal economic factors affecting projects to which assigned
- Some knowledge of competitor capabilities
- Solid understanding of policies and procedures that apply to assignments
- Good level of general computer literacy and familiarity with relevant specialist engineering software
