We are looking for a Senior Sales Director to join our Global Sales team, responsible for the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Pacific regions. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our sales strategy, developing distribution channels, and building strong customer relationships. You'll lead and mentor teams across sales, market development, customer experience, and marketing to ensure alignment with our strategic goals. Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining sales strategy for MEASA and SEAP region, aligning with the strategic priorities and four pillars of Sales Channel Management, Market Development, Customer Experience and Regional Marketing.
- Identify market opportunities, industry trends, and customer needs to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Drive market expansion by identifying and penetrating new markets, increasing our customer base, and strengthening our presence in current markets.
- Collaborate with other regional sales heads and key stakeholders to align sales strategies and goals across countries.
Channel Management
- Formulate and implement comprehensive channel management strategies that align with overall business objectives.
- Identify new channel opportunities and assess their potential impact on global markets.
- Implement metrics and KPIs to measure and enhance channel effectiveness and productivity.
- Ensure that channel strategies are integrated with broader sales strategies and initiatives.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales, market development, customer experience, and marketing teams in the MEASA and SEAP region, fostering a high-performing sales culture.
- Define sales targets and performance metrics for the teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure effective execution of sales strategies.
- Create a world-class associate experience for the team, promoting a growth mindset and empowering individuals to achieve their full potential.
Sales Performance and Revenue Growth
- Drive the achievement of revenue and profitability targets and sales objectives for MEASA and SEAP, analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer insights to identify areas for improvement and develop effective sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the teams to monitor and evaluate sales performance, conduct sales forecasting, and analyze data to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
- Launch new products and maximize revenue for existing ones, staying ahead of competitors, and meeting evolving customer demands.
- Drive efficiency through effective resource utilization, optimizing processes for consistency to improve sales performance.
Customer Relationship Management
- Effectively managing customer relationships and developing and maintaining an end-user centric approach to our business.
- Understand and exceed the needs of our customers, driving satisfaction and loyalty through key account management and exceptional customer engagement.
- Regularly analyze customer data and market trends to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding customer portfolios.
Collaboration and Communication
- Foster collaboration and communication between the sales, market development, customer experience, marketing teams and other supporting teams in MEASA and SEAP region, as well as with global and regional teams.
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, market trends, and business opportunities to the Vice President and Chief Sales Officer and other relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between the local teams and global teams, ensuring effective information flow, knowledge sharing, sharing of resources, and alignment of strategies for optimal sales outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 15 years in sales leadership roles, preferably in the AV or IT industry.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the local market dynamics, customer behavior, and industry trends as well as channel management.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, achieving revenue targets, and expanding market share.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
- Proven experience in successfully managing organizations and businesses through both favorable and unfavorable market conditions.
- Strong understanding of multinational corporate environments, with a track record of collaborating with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and operating within a matrix organizational structure.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Results-driven, with a strong business acumen and analytical mindset.
- Fluency in English required and proficiency in local languages desired.
- Willingness to travel.
