Job Description:
- Lead negotiations with shipping lines for competitive freight rates and container slot allocations
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with shipping carriers
- Analyze market trends and shipping rates to optimize procurement strategies
- Prepare and submit competitive price offers to potential exporters
- Manage slot allocation contracts and ensure optimal utilization
- Conduct market research to identify cost-effective shipping solutions
- Develop pricing strategies that balance customer needs with company profitability
- Coordinate with sales and operations teams to align procurement activities
- Monitor and report on shipping market conditions and rate fluctuations
- Negotiate volume-based discounts and long-term agreements with shipping lines
- Manage Ocean freight invoices corrections as per agreed rates.
