Advisory and Design Support:
- Advise clients, engineers, architects, and contractors on structural solutions.
- Collaborate with design teams during the planning stages of construction or refurbishment projects.
- Recommend materials and construction techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Inspections:
- Conduct on-site surveys of buildings and structures.
- Examine foundations, walls, roofs, and other structural components.
Diagnosis and Reporting:
- Identify structural defects, such as cracks, subsidence, damp, and deformation.
- Determine causes of defects and provide risk assessments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Me Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying, or related field.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and building pathology.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, Tekla).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
