Job Description:
A Tile Mason is responsible for installing tiles made of ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and other materials on floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of surface preparation and tile-laying techniques to ensure a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark surfaces to lay out work.
- Prepare and level surfaces (e.g., applying mortar, adhesive, or grout).
- Cut tiles using hand tools or power tools to fit around obstacles and edges.
- Align and lay tiles accurately according to design plans or patterns.
- Apply grout and clean excess materials from finished surfaces.
- Repair or replace damaged tiles and surfaces when needed.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Maintain tools and work area in clean, working condition.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tile Mason or Tiler.
- Knowledge of different tile types, adhesives, and grouting techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints or layout drawings.
- Physical stamina and strength for manual labor.
- Attention to detail and craftsmanship.
