Position Summary:
The Tower Crane Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tower cranes to ensure safe and efficient operation at the construction site. The role involves preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of tower cranes.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns promptly to avoid project delays.
- Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
- Conduct load tests and safety checks as per manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and UAE regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with crane operators, supervisors, and site management to schedule maintenance.
- Order and replace spare parts when necessary.
- Support crane installation, dismantling, and relocation activities.
- Report any defects, unsafe conditions, or operational hazards immediately.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related trade.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing tower cranes (GCC experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Understanding of crane safety regulations and load charts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
