Job Description
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods across specified routes, ensuring timely delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, identifying any mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any potential delays.
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations, demonstrating defensive driving practices to ensure the safety of all road users.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety during transit.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; endorsements for hazardous materials or doubles/triples are advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-haul trucking or trailer driving, showcasing reliability and professionalism.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads, with a commitment to safety in all operations.
