Job Summary:
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily transportation operations of the school. This includes routing, scheduling, vehicle maintenance coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role ensures that students and staff are transported safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage bus routes and schedules in coordination with school timings and student needs.
- Assign buses, drivers, and attendants to appropriate routes.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students.
- Communicate with parents, school staff, and transportation vendors to resolve any issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation data, including ridership, driver attendance, fuel usage, and maintenance logs.
- Coordinate with HR for driver and monitor hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with local transportation and safety regulations (e.g., ITC, ADEK).
- Manage incident reports, accidents, or student behavior issues on buses.
- Work closely with school administration during field trips and special events to arrange additional transport.
- Monitor GPS tracking systems for bus routes and provide updates on bus locations as required.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and transportation-related concerns.
