The Van Sales Manager is responsible for driving the growth of Dhofar Global’s van sales operations, developing and executing strategic initiatives to enhance market penetration and optimize revenue generation. This role ensures operational efficiency, sales performance, and customer satisfaction while aligning with the company’s overall business objectives. Strategic Sales Growth & Market Expansion • Develop and implement strategies to expand van sales and increase market share within the small-customer segment. • Align van sales objectives with overall company goals in collaboration with the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). • Drive initiatives to transition traditional clients to e-commerce platforms, working closely with the E-commerce Manager to optimize solutions. Product & Portfolio Management • Oversee and optimize the van sales product portfolio, ensuring a competitive and high-performing range of products. • Work with the Commercial team to introduce new products, discontinue underperforming lines, and diversify offerings. Pricing & Market Positioning • Develop pricing strategies in coordination with CSO and CCO, based on market analysis and competitor benchmarking. • Collaborate with Marketing to position products effectively and maximize revenue and profitability. Sales Operations & Team Leadership • Lead and oversee daily van sales operations, ensuring sales targets are met and exceeded. • Set performance metrics, track progress, and provide coaching to sales teams. • Identify training needs, conduct coaching sessions, and implement best practices in van sales and customer engagement. • Develop a high-performance culture by motivating and mentoring the van sales team. Market Intelligence & Customer Engagement • Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. • Provide insights and recommendations to the Commercial team to shape sales strategies and product offerings. • Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction. Operational & Logistical Efficiency • Optimize van routes, loading processes, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. • Work closely with Supply Chain teams to improve inventory management and ensure stock accuracy. • Implement measures to enhance van inventory management and product accessibility. Performance Tracking & Reporting • Develop and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the CSO and management team. • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness and optimize strategies. • Leverage data-driven insights to improve sales execution and decision-making. Collaboration & Compliance • Partner with Supply Chain to ensure product availability and maintain quality standards. • Work with Marketing and E-commerce teams to promote van sales and achieve business objectives. • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. • Minimum 7 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in van sales, FMCG, or distribution. • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets. • Strong experience in route optimization, van loading, and logistics planning. • Ability to analyze sales data and apply insights for decision-making. • Experience in training and developing sales teams to achieve performance excellence • Sales & Negotiation: Strong ability to close deals and drive revenue growth. • Leadership & Team Development: Ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams. • Market Insights & Customer Engagement: Understanding of small-customer dynamics and emerging market trends. • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in sales forecasting, KPI tracking, and performance analysis. • Communication & Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present strategic insights to senior management.
