Ward Nurse – Republic of Nauru
Location: Nauru
Deliver essential inpatient care in a close-knit island health system.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ward Nurse to join our hospital team in the Republic of Nauru. This role involves providing general inpatient care across medical, surgical, and post-acute wards in a resource-limited environment. Ideal for nurses looking to gain international experience and make a real impact in a developing health system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to admitted patients
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assist with daily activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations and care plans
- Support wound care, IV therapy, and pre/post-operative care
- Collaborate with doctors and allied health professionals in a multidisciplinary team
- Ensure infection prevention and control protocols are followed
- Assist with patient and family education
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital inpatient/ward setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Adaptability and cultural sensitivity for working in a remote setting
