We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our warehouse by ensuring goods are received, stored, and distributed efficiently. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining an organized warehouse environment, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring products are prepared for shipment or delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming goods, ensuring all products are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate records of all products.
- Prepare products for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items according to order specifications.
- Ensure that all products are stored safely and in an orderly manner to maximize warehouse space and prevent damage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, ensuring that all materials are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring goods are handled with care and transported efficiently.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery (if certified and trained).
- Monitor stock levels and notify the supervisor when items need to be reordered.
- Support the warehouse team in meeting operational goals and deadlines.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist in processing returns and exchanges, ensuring returned items are restocked or disposed of correctly.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in warehouse or similar roles is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (experience with warehouse management software is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehouse environments is a plus.
