A commercial trading company is seeking to hire a Warehouse & Inventory Control Officer with strong organizational and operational skills to manage inventory efficiently, ensure product availability at all times, and support the sales team by maintaining a highly organized and responsive warehouse system. Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage the warehouse and maintain optimal organization for easy product access. Monitor stock levels and set clear minimum and maximum thresholds for each item to avoid shortages or overstock. Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to ensure proper inventory rotation. Utilize barcode scanning systems for accurate tracking of inbound and outbound stock movements. Design and update a warehouse layout map to streamline internal operations. Demonstrate excellent understanding of sales and supply cycles to align inventory levels with demand. Manage inventory across multiple branches or warehouses and coordinate stock distribution as needed. Generate and provide real-time inventory reports for the sales team highlighting available, critical, and fast-moving items. Maintain a well-structured SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) system for product categorization and traceability. Optimize order picking processes to ensure fast and accurate order fulfillment. Apply cycle counting methods to regularly verify stock accuracy without needing full inventory shutdowns. Handle customer returns in a structured and traceable manner, with proper system updates. Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely replenishment of stock. Requirements: 3 to 6 years of practical experience in warehouse and inventory management, preferably in commercial or distribution environments. Proficient in inventory management systems and ERP platforms (experience with Odoo or similar systems is preferred). Strong command of barcode tools and digital inventory processes. High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and record-keeping. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication abilities and proactive collaboration with sales and procurement teams. Self-motivated, disciplined, and accountable.
