Job description
Welders perform various functions, including:
- Utilizing plasma, gas, or electric arc to weld metallic and composite materials together.
- Heating and dissolving metal parts to obtain molten substance used in welding or extrusion.
- Overseeing the installation of tank linings, valves, lead pipes, and floors.
Conducting x-ray, hydrostatic, and tolerance tests on welded parts to verify weld quality and conformance to specification.
