We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant cum Procurement Officer with at least 2 years of experience to handle both financial operations and procurement activities. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in accounting principles and capable of managing the end-to-end procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties:
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledgers.
- Prepare and process journal entries, vouchers, and bank reconciliations.
- Handle petty cash and record daily financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and assist in budgeting.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Coordinate with auditors for periodic audits.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and other statutory requirements.
Procurement Duties:
- Source and evaluate suppliers, request quotations, and negotiate pricing.
- Issue Purchase Orders and track order status.
- Maintain procurement records and vendor database.
- Coordinate with warehouse and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed.
- Ensure all purchases are cost-effective and of approved quality.
- Maintain procurement documentation in line with company policy.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
- Strong MS Excel and data entry skills.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations (if applicable).
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting and procurement.
- Experience in the construction or trading industry is a plus.
