Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor with a strong background in warranty and insurance claims. The ideal candidate will be a critical liaison between customers and our service technicians, providing accurate advice, a clear explanation of repair needs, and managing the entire service process from vehicle drop-off to pickup. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of automotive systems, and the ability to navigate complex warranty and insurance procedures efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly and professionally, listen to their concerns, and accurately document their vehicle's service needs.
- Diagnostics & Consultation: Advise customers on necessary maintenance and repair services based on vehicle inspection and technician recommendations. Clearly explain technical information in a way that is easy for customers to understand.
- Work Order Management: Create detailed and accurate repair orders, including labor, parts, and a clear explanation of the work to be performed.
Warranty Administration:
- Identify and verify eligible warranty coverage for repairs.
- Process warranty claims accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to manufacturer and third-party warranty guidelines.
- Communicate with warranty administrators and manufacturers to secure approval and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain meticulous records of all warranty claims and related documentation.
Insurance Claims:
- Assist customers with the insurance claims process for collision and mechanical repairs.
- Work directly with insurance adjusters to secure approval for repairs and parts.
- Provide accurate estimates and documentation required by insurance companies.
- Monitor the status of insurance claims and keep customers informed.
Service & Parts Coordination:
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure the availability of necessary parts for repairs.
- Communicate with technicians to monitor the progress of a vehicle's repair and provide updates to the customer.
- Prepare and explain final invoices to customers.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Proactively follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the service provided.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all service transactions, customer communications, and vehicle history.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor (4+ years preferred).
- Demonstrated experience handling automotive warranty claims from various manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of the insurance claims process for automotive repairs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Solid knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and repair procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
