Cath Lab Technologist (CCT) – Republic of Nauru
Location: Nauru Medical Centre, Republic of Nauru
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technologist (CCT) to join our team at the Nauru Medical Centre. The successful candidate will support cardiologists and the medical team in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, and device implantation procedures.
- Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment in the cath lab.
- Prepare patients for procedures, monitor vital signs, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Administer contrast media and medications under physician supervision.
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards during all procedures.
- Record, document, and report procedural data accurately.
- Provide assistance during emergency situations in the cath lab.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related healthcare field.
- Certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional cardiology procedures.
- Excellent technical, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, resource-limited environment.
