💼 Role Overview
This position supports the rollout and advancement of our Human Rights Program, focusing on due diligence across our operations and supply chain. In a transformative era for our business, we aim to reinforce our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments. You’ll collaborate with various functions and project teams to ensure human rights are fully integrated into our activities.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Implement human rights programs in projects using a risk-based strategy.
- Lead due diligence efforts across the value chain (particularly Procurement and Subcontracting), ensuring early-stage awareness and expectation-sharing.
- Evaluate and refine human rights risk profiles for operations and the supply chain, promoting lessons learned and best practices.
- Coordinate project-based Site HuRi Officers overseeing grievance mechanisms, supply chain oversight, and social awareness tools.
- Assist proposal, qualification, and tender teams with human rights integration during bid preparation and execution phases.
- Engage in audits led by external stakeholders, aligning mitigation actions with global standards (ILO, IFC, EP4).
- Handle confidential data and grievance cases with discretion and strategic diplomacy.
- Generate comprehensive reports with recommendations and follow-up actions.
🤝 Key Collaborations
- Internal Teams: Sustainability Human Rights Team, Cluster Functions, Project Directors, Proposal and HSE Teams.
- External Stakeholders: Clients, Subcontractors, Partners, Lenders, and third-party auditors.
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred backgrounds: Legal, HR, Social Studies).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, especially in construction and subcontractor monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to support capacity-building across teams.
🧠 Hard Skills
- Proficiency in international standards: IFC, ILO, EP4, SA8000
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Solid computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
