The Fleet Officer is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the organization’s vehicle fleet for company. This position involves coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring the fleet is well-maintained and compliant with safety regulations. The officer will handle budget oversight, team supervision, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Fleet Management:

Oversee the operation and maintenance of the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring all are roadworthy and well-maintained.

Manage the scheduling, assignment, and tracking of fleet vehicles to ensure optimal utilization.

Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and repair costs.

Ensure vehicles comply with legal requirements, including insurance, registration, and safety inspections.

Track and manage fuel usage, vehicle mileage, and driver performance using fleet management software.

Coordinate with external vendors for vehicle repairs, leasing, or purchasing as necessary.
- Develop and maintain fleet-related policies and procedures.
Supervise and manage the fleet team (drivers, mechanics).

Prepare and manage budgets for fleet operations and accommodation facilities, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Create reports for senior management on fleet usage, maintenance costs, and accommodation occupancy.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vehicle rental agencies, and maintenance vendors to secure favorable terms.
