Job Purpose
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment, utensils, and work areas meet health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools efficiently.
- Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal according to safety standards.
- Assist in receiving, unloading, and proper storage of kitchen supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and other kitchen surfaces.
- Ensure that all cleaning materials and chemicals are handled safely.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff in basic preparation and operational needs.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly.
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations of the hotel/company.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and hygiene standards.
- Physical stamina to handle cleaning tasks and long hours.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED800.00 - AED900.00 per month
