Job Description
SUMMARY
The Plumber is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all plumbing systems in the hotel, including water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures, and related equipment. The role ensures smooth operation of guest facilities and back-of-house systems by carrying out preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and compliance with health & safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, sanitary fixtures, pumps, and valves.
- Respond promptly to guest room plumbing complaints (leakages, blockages, low pressure, hot/cold water issues).
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with water heaters, pumps, and bathroom fittings.
- Repair or replace defective pipes, fittings, and fixtures using proper tools and methods.
- Handle PPR piping systems, including cutting, welding, jointing, and repairing fittings
- Carry out preventive maintenance schedules for plumbing lines, water tanks, pumps, and fittings.
- Inspect and service water supply and drainage systems to minimize breakdowns.
- Ensure all plumbing systems are energy-efficient and comply with environmental standards.
- Ensure plumbing works comply with local authority codes, health & safety, and hotel standards.
- Handle tools and materials safely to prevent accidents and hazards.
- Work closely with other engineering technicians during shutdowns or major repairs
Desired Skill & Expertise
- Diploma/ITI/Certification in Plumbing or related trade.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in plumbing maintenance (hospitality industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures, and pump systems.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and emergencies.
