The QA/QC Officer is responsible for implementing and overseeing quality assurance and quality control procedures across all Project-related construction, maintenance, and engineering projects. The role ensures that all works—structural, architectural, MEP, and finishes—are executed in full compliance with approved specifications, standards, and expectations. The officer works across departments and contractors to uphold integrity, workmanship, and regulatory compliance on site and within operations.
JOB LOCATION - FUJAIRAH, UAE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree, Diploma or Certification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field. (Mandatory)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Advantageous.
- National Police Clearance (Mandatory)
- Familiarity with local safety regulations in the Middle East.
- ISO 9001:2015 – Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor Certification
- UAE Driver’s license
EXPERIENCE:
- 4–6 years’ experience in QA/QC roles, preferably in luxury construction, engineering companies or high-end fit out contractors.
- Knowledge of developing, implementing, and improving QMS procedures.
- Familiarity with design-build environments.
- Previous experience working in or with ISO 9001:2015 systems.
- Exposure to quality control software and data reporting tools
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Quality Assurance (QA) – Preventing defects by establishing processes, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Identify and mitigate risks to maintain consistent quality
- Quality Control (QC) – Ensure works, designs, and processes meet quality standards through inspection
- Inspecting & corrections: Monitoring workmanship and adherence to specifications
- Material Selection & Development: Identifying and testing materials to ensure they meet the specific requirements of a project.
- Quality Control & Testing: Conducting laboratory and field tests to evaluate material properties like strength, corrosion resistance, and thermal conductivity, etc.
- Collaboration with Engineers & Designers: Working closely with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers to align materials with project
- Snagging & De-snagging: Ensuring the projects are free of all issues & concerns.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, project specifications, ISO 9001 standards, and UAE construction codes, ensuring all works meet required quality benchmarks.
- Proficient in conducting site & material, workshop, and factory inspections across disciplines (civil, MEP, finishes, fabrication), and identifying workmanship defects or non-conformances.
- Skilled in documenting findings and coordinating timely corrective and preventive actions with relevant departments.
- Able to assess the quality of received materials, installed works, and finished products in accordance with approved submittals and palace standards.
- Works closely with Construction, Fabrication, Maintenance, Soft Services, and Procurement to ensure compliance with QA protocols and smooth project execution.
- Maintains detailed inspection records, quality reports, and compliance logs with professionalism, accuracy, and discretion.
