The Reservations Team Leader/Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the hotel reservations team, ensuring a high standard of guest service, accuracy in reservations, and maximized occupancy and revenue. The ideal candidate must possess substantial knowledge and hands-on experience with Opera Property Management System (PMS) and SynXis CRS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily reservation activities, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Train, guide, and motivate the reservation team, ensuring exceptional guest service standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, reservations, amendments, and cancellations promptly and professionally.
- Monitor reservation calls and online bookings, ensuring proper distribution and management.
- Ensure seamless integration and data accuracy between Opera PMS and SynXis.
- Regularly review reservation practices to ensure compliance with hotel standards and procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports on reservation forecasts, occupancy, cancellations, no-shows, and revenue management.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Front Office, and Revenue Management teams to optimize hotel occupancy and rates.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive guest information.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel reservations with supervisory responsibilities.
- Proven mandatory hands-on experience with Opera PMS and SynXis CRS.
- Strong understanding of hotel reservations processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and excellent customer service skills.
Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
