Sales Manager-ME

As a Sales Manager for the Edwards brand industrial vacuum pump solutions, you will take the helm in driving business growth within your defined territory. Your primary objective will be to enhance sales, expand market presence, and boost market share, all while adhering to the operational structure and guidelines of Vacuum Technique. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of our sales strategy.

Your role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Identifying customer needs and engineering adaptations of our products, equipment, and services to meet those needs effectively.
  • Delivering technical and engineering information regarding our products to customers by responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Establishing new accounts by planning and organizing sales calls, effectively targeting potential customers to spur growth.
  • Preparing cost estimates through careful review of customer documents while collaborating with the sales manager.
  • Facilitating customer acceptance of proposed solutions by demonstrating cost and operational efficiencies.
  • Submitting orders through collaboration with technical support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Enhancing customer expertise by providing technical information and conducting training sessions.
  • Analyzing sales trends and preparing detailed sales engineering reports to inform strategy going forward.
  • Taking the lead in achieving growth objectives by conducting sales forecast meetings and debt collection updates with the management team.
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for business resolution issues, ensuring optimal performance within your region.
  • Collaborating with the Industrial Vacuum team to support regional synergies and improve overall business performance.
  • Managing distributor relationships and brand management initiatives as necessary.
  • Upholding compliance with relevant statutory legislation, government regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Championing a healthy and safe work environment for all stakeholders.
  • Providing top-notch technical support to maintain existing customer relations throughout pre-bid and post-bid stages.
  • Building and nurturing professional relationships across branches, dealers, distributors, and potential customers to achieve sales goals.
  • Evaluating performance through weekly and monthly sales reports to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitoring sales performance diligently against set growth targets and maintaining meticulous records of customer interactions using designated systems.
  • Overseeing direct sales initiatives for chemical and process sector customers in Western India.
  • Recruiting, motivating, and supporting the activities of company agents and distributors as appropriate.
  • Conducting market research to identify potential customers and performing technical and commercial negotiations to achieve budget goals.
  • Providing product training to dealer engineers while keeping them updated with relevant technical and product information.
  • Regularly reviewing dealer activities and performance to ensure compliance with growth targets and monitoring their sales activities for consistency.
  • Following up on outstanding statutory documents and ensuring compliance with banking and LC procedures.
  • Coordinating with Customer Service Operations (CSO) and the Accounts department for seamless account reconciliations.

  • Educational qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, and an MBA is a significant advantage.
  • Experience required: A proven track record with 10 to 12 years of experience in sales and business development within the industrial products or capital goods sector, either directly or indirectly through channel partners.
  • Skills and knowledge: A self-driven, results-oriented candidate with a strategic mindset, paired with exceptional communication and presentation skills, is essential. Familiarity with the vacuum market, including key industries and competitor landscapes, is highly advantageous.

Language capabilities: Fluency in English and Arabic is ideal, alongside the ability to communicate in the language relevant to the customer base. Willingness to travel extensively is a must.
