Job Description
- Assures that the scope of work is executed with regard to HSE, quality, time, budget and contractual requirements
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to safety. Actively implement and promote the project HSE program.
- Encourage and motivate the site team (KVI and contractors) to work safely.
- Responsible for the safety of the KVI site team, and the safety performance of contractors under his control
- Represents Kanadevia Inova towards business partners
- Management of Supervisor functions in the team
- Reporting and Deputizing the Site Manager
- Monitoring of Construction schedule and elaboration and implementation of remedy measures in case of deviations
- Review of construction progress
- Monitors elaboration and provision of construction preparation documents, concepts
- Monitors detail construction planning done by supervisors and subcontractors
- Oversees sub-contractors reporting and provided input to site managers reporting
- Cooperation, daily coordination and exchange of experience with site staff functions and other project teams and departments
- Coordination of works executed by sub-contractors or other business partners, who are within the scope
- Assures that weekly meetings with contractors are hold and recorded
- Verification of change requests (technical, time and costs) / lessons learned and presentation of a proposal for decision to the Site Manager and Project Construction Manager
- Contribution in preparation and follow-up of deviations and claims
- Coordination of intermediate inspection and Mechanical & Electrical Completion tests
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in construction from both EPC and Contractor's side on a large-scale Industrial/ Process plants as Construction Manager/ Site Manager
- Strong working knowledge on complex projects like Power Generation and EfW (Energy from Waste) Projects
- Ability to manage big team sizes and contractors with varied scope within their area of activity
- Coordination of a wide range of construction activities and site trouble-shooting.
- Ability to represent KVI in front consortium partners, clients and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of Safety Management requirements (legislation)
- Good knowledge and experience in Microsoft applications
- Valid HSE Training Certificate (Safety Certificate for Contractors)
- Knowledge in Contract Management and negotiations with subcontractors.
- Able to negotiate in English. Any additional language will be advantage
