1. Performs the professional duties of an endocrinologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended and approved by the Credentials Committee.

 

1. Performs duties in the Endocrinology department, evaluating patients with hormonal diseases.

 

1. Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for endocrinology emergencies. 

 

1. Performs endocrinal procedures – dynamic hormonal test in appropriate patient.

 

1. To provide consultation/referral services to the inpatient services in his area of expertise. 

 

1. To work with the patients throughout the entire process starting from consultation to treatment plan. 

 

1. Provides supervision and education to the staff nurses, patients and technicians.

 

1. Participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the services (e.g. monthly mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review)

 

1. Oversees and monitors and participates in QA programs as requested by the Quality Office.

 

1. Prepares and submits to the Medical Administrator for approval the daily work schedule, weekend schedules, ER on-call schedule after working hours, personal leaves and vacation.

 

1. To follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations & Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.

1. Graduate of approved Medical School; plus 1 year Rotating Internship with certification or equivalent; 

 

1. 3 years residency of Internal Medicine Residency.

 

1. 3 years Residency training in recognized residency in Endocrinology.

 

1. Current licensure in country of origin with Specialist Endocrinologist, and with DHA license to practice in Dubai, UAE.

 

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience of practice in the field of Endocrinology (Hormonal Diseases).

 

1. Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.

 

 

1. Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.

 

1. Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families.
