Position Summary:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager / Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. This includes supervising staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, and driving performance to achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:Operational Oversight:
- Supervise day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies when necessary
Team Management:
- Assist in staff training, development, and performance evaluation
- Lead by example and ensure high standards of professionalism and service
- Prepare daily staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during shifts
Customer Experience:
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through prompt and courteous service
- Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
- Oversee service quality and address any operational gaps
Financial & Administrative Duties:
- Assist in achieving sales targets and controlling operating costs
- Monitor cash handling procedures and daily sales reports
- Maintain records of staff attendance, break times, and disciplinary actions
Hygiene & Safety:
- Ensure the restaurant complies with local health and safety regulations
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene are maintained
- Support the implementation of hygiene and food safety protocols
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role in F&B or hospitality
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication in English; Arabic is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of POS systems and MS Office is an advantage
- Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons
