Position Summary

The position reflects the increasing focus on digital marketing within SGE, as well as describes how the role of digital and social media would play through the companys marketing efforts.

As a Data Engineering professional you will be part of the existing Digital Marketing Team.

Your main responsibilities shall focus on managing and maintaining the automated digital/CRM reporting infrastructure. This will include creating actionable digital insights, analyzing, reporting and optimizing the companys digital campaigns and programs based on findings from all the digital marketing channels, including Samsung.com, social media, search, CRM and paid media.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Use data to create actionable insights that can translate into a more efficient digital marketing activities and spending.
  • Work closely with the Division and agencies, maximizes the impact of digital marketing on target audiences.
  • Integrate various digital data sources to have a single view of the customer
  • Manage data metrics and reporting which includes reports and readouts to Leadership focusing on performance measurement & insights.
  • Act as a central data lead between media agencies, media agencies and Samsung to make sure the data needs are met from the time the campaign execution is planned till the execution.
  • Big Query Data Lake development and maintenance such as data aggregations using SQL, Data modeling, ETL transformations, Query Optimization and maintaining marketing business rules.
  • Own the responsibility for data integrity of the Data-sets upon first output and maintain the data checks throughout the automated data pipeline from collection till visualization.
  • Ensure all data tags are correctly implemented as per the reporting needs, maintain data integrity.
  • Identify and integrate new data sources opportunity to enrich the data sets.
  • Develop and maintain different visualizations on front-end as per the business needs and tailor the back-end reporting layer as per the front-end needs.
  • Explore the full potential of Google Cloud including BigQuery and other tools which comes in the Google Cloud package and recommend right solutions as per the organizations need.
  • Own the Adobe Stack (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Audience Manager and Adobe Target) as well as Google Stack and provide overall business strategy and goals of platforms.
  • Monitor the campaign performance throughout and recommend strategies for optimization and provide timely reports and insights
  • Manage a team of 2-3 people at agencies to handle the data engineering and data activation operations

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably with a major/specialization in data engineering/ data science / computer science etc.
  • Masters Degree preferred, but not required , Any digital data driven marketing equivalent degree is a plus

Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working on data engineering and digital data analytics.
  • Strong ETL and dash boarding experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in SQL and database designing.
  • Strong coding skills in a language such as Python.
  • Experience in building and running data infrastructure, from data storage to processing and transforming data till monitoring and visualization.
  • Experience in Google Cloud platform.
  • Experience in Web Analytics using Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics
  • Experience in Media channels such as DoubleClick Bid Manager, DoubleClick campaign manager, Facebook, Paid Search and others.
  • Experience in visualization tools (such as Tableau or Power-BI).
  • Strong problem solving ability.
  • Project Management skills.
