The job holder will be responsible for development and implementation of effective Creative display standards and methods in store retail environment. The job holder will also ensure that all creative implementations compliment the visual merchandising/ product presentation guidelines so that the two are commercially balanced and working in harmony, in line with the overall Concept objectives

Concept Development:
Plan & develop innovative Visual Merchandising seasonal concept solutions
Conducts market research/audit/monitor competitors and understand the latest trends
Bring innovation, excitement and retail theatre to in-store and window implementations
Support the VM Head in preparing the VM Event Calendar
Support the VM Head in developing Key Merchandising Principles
Support VM Head in store lay out, Fixture Design, Planograms and New store Opening Kit
Plan & Develop Monthly Visual Merchandising dockets as per Event Calendar

Instore Creatives and Store Windows

Develop a close working relationship and communication link with Planners to maintain a detailed knowledge of the concept merchandise
Prepare creative display and window guidelines for the concept
Ensure creative display and window standards are in conjunction with guidelines
Ensure creative implementations are commercial in effective space utilization
Ensure visual Hot Spots are created and focal points clearly are identified in the stores
Provide monthly Visual treatment plan for Hot Spots and focal Points
Ensure that all Windows, In Store Visual Merchandising & Displays are as per the standard across all stores
Create a critical path to manage the logistics of all in store creative - décor and prop’s to ensure all reach the store as per timelines
Maximize profitability by ensuring all VM Initiatives are not only visually stunning but commercially viable for the business

Creative Merchandising Solutions

Create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
Develop graphics and layouts for promotion posters, logos, displays etc
Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed
Plan for New Season and Product Launches.
Prepare detail designs to support and enhance visual the new season and Product launches.
Prepare creative guidelines for events, Seasonal Launches and Promotions.

Skills and Qualification

Graduate degree in any field
Design Course from any Design Institute (Optional)
NVQ certification in retail display or similar certification
Coral Draw, Auto Cad, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, 3D Max, Google Sketch up & Quark Express
3-4 years of experience in visual merchandising role in retail organization
Good Knowledge of Visual Merchandising processes
Good Knowledge of consumer behaviour/market trends/market forecasting techniques for the Dept
Proficiency in English and local language
