M42’s Abu Dhabi Biobank is seeking a talented Analyst, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a national platform that supports groundbreaking research and healthcare innovation in the UAE. As a LIMS Analyst, you will play a key role in managing, maintaining, and integrating our LIMS platforms to ensure reliability, compliance, and adaptability. You’ll work closely with laboratory teams, IT specialists, and external partners to support critical Biobank operations while driving improvements and innovation across our systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support for LIMS operations, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to update and maintain master data, workflows, and configurations.
- Implement updates, enhancements, and integrations of LIMS platforms with internal and external systems (e.g., Malaffi, TRE, LSP).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, ITIL processes, and internal policies.
- Support audits, inspections, and data integrity processes across Biobank workflows.
- Train and guide users on LIMS functionality and best practices.
- Contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency and system functionality.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: At least 5 years in integration-focused roles within laboratory, biobank, or clinical environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in LIMS platforms (e.g., Thermo Fisher LIMS).
- Hands-on experience with integration standards (HL7, FHIR, REST APIs).
- Knowledge of middleware tools for healthcare and laboratory data exchange.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks (21 CFR Part 11, cGMP).
- Sample Manager LIMs system experience - Thermo Fisher
