Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ARE - Civil (Architect/Engineer - Civil) to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our civil engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing, managing, and overseeing various civil infrastructure projects in the region.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams for complex civil engineering projects
- Review and provide constructive input on project designs, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to local building codes and regulations
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing all phases from conceptualization to completion
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with design specifications and quality standards
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to develop innovative solutions for project challenges
- Prepare and review technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules
- Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in civil engineering
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team
- Participate in business development activities and proposal preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent local qualification
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials
- Proficiency in CAD software, project management tools, and relevant engineering software
- In-depth understanding of local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi and the UAE
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Experience working on international projects is highly desirable
- Ability to establish and maintain long-term client relationships
- Willingness to travel for project site visits and client meetings
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of civil engineering
