Role Overview
As a Civil Foreman, you will supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will lead a team of workers, manage resources, and maintain strict adherence to engineering plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Supervision: Direct and manage construction crews, including laborers, operators, and subcontractors.
- Project Execution: Ensure work aligns with specifications, and schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations, conduct toolbox talks, and mitigate hazards.
- Resource Management: Monitor material, equipment, and labor usage to minimize waste and delays.
- Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure compliance with standards and resolve defects promptly.
- Reporting: Document daily progress, issues, and resource requirements for project managers.
- Coordination: Liaise with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to address challenges and ensure smooth workflow.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep and proper use of tools and machinery.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management preferred).
- VALID UAE Driving License is Must!
- Experience: 3+ years in civil construction, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading technical documents.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license is a plus; OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred.
