PPosition: Civil Inspector
Industry: Engineering Consultant – High-Rise Construction
Location: Dubai, UAE
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and inspect contractor construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify non-conformances, issue site instructions or NCRs, and verify corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, to resolve site issues.
- Ensure all works adhere to local authority regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Review and verify construction documents, checklists, and material submittals for compliance.
- Monitor site safety practices and report any unsafe conditions.
- Verify all quality control procedures and checklists are properly implemented on site.
- Provide daily updates to the Resident Engineer (RE), thoroughly documenting site activities, progress, and issues as required.
- Witness and verify construction activities and tests - such as concrete pouring, rebar fixing, excavation, and material testing - to meet project specifications.
- Conduct thorough inspections of contractor-supplied materials upon delivery to the site, verifying their conformity with approved submittals, specifications, and quality standards before allowing their use in execution.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Civil Inspector with a consultant.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Valid UAE driving license.
- The ability to join immediately is highly preferred.
