Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the marine sector (shipping, offshore, ports, logistics, etc.)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government bodies, port authorities, and other key stakeholders.
- Respond to tenders, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts in line with company policy.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform commercial strategy.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Lead contract negotiations ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation.
- Monitor and manage commercial performance of ongoing projects and service agreements.
- Ensure contracts are executed in compliance with legal and regulatory standards in the UAE and international maritime law.
- Support procurement and project teams with contract interpretation and claims management.
Financial & Strategic Oversight
- Develop and manage commercial budgets and forecasts.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular commercial performance reports.
- Contribute to pricing strategy, margin improvement, and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate billing, cost control, and cash flow management.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a commercial team including sales executives, estimators, and contract administrators.
- Collaborate with operations and technical departments to align commercial decisions with operational capabilities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and stakeholder meetings.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a marine services company
- Familiarity with ADNOC and other Abu Dhabi government procurement systems.
