Job Title : Commis Chef

Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our culinary team in Business Bay. The ideal candidate will have basic kitchen knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow within the culinary field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to restaurant standards
- Support senior chefs with daily kitchen tasks, following instructions precisely
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all food items
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Participate in daily mise en place to ensure readiness during service hours
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages to senior chefs
- Rotate across different kitchen stations as needed, gaining exposure to a variety of culinary techniques
Requirements:
- Basic kitchen knowledge, including familiarity with basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar entry-level kitchen role is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn
