Looking for Credit Administrator to oversee the preparation and evaluation of credit applications, maintain accurate customer account records, and ensure compliance with credit policies—supporting efficient administrative processes and effective credit risk management.
The Credit Administrator is responsible for managing the end-to-end credit application process, including the preparation, evaluation, and documentation of credit requests. This role ensures accurate maintenance of customer account records, supports compliance with internal credit policies, and contributes to the efficiency of credit operations.
Credit Evaluation & Account Management
- Assess customer creditworthiness using financial statements, credit reports, payment history, and scoring models.
- Review and verify credit applications for accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor active credit accounts to identify risks, delinquencies, or irregularities, and initiate early warning actions.
- Maintain up-to-date records on credit limits, terms, and account status & Ensure documentation meets audit and compliance standards.
- Develop scalable SOPs and templates for consistent credit operations.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding credit terms, payment schedules, and dispute resolution.
- Respond to credit-related inquiries with clarity, professionalism, and adherence to policy.
- Negotiate revised payment plans or terms with customers in coordination with management.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Legal teams to align credit decisions, account status, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders on high-risk accounts, pending approvals.
- Maintain a professional tone in all written and verbal communication, ensuring alignment with company reputation standards.
- Document all customer interactions related to credit in the system for audit and follow-up purposes.
Compliance, Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for all credit decisions, approvals, and customer communications.
- Update and maintain credit control SOPs, templates, and workflows to reflect current practices.
Knowledge
- Knowledgeable in credit approval workflows, risk assessment criteria, and structured debt collection processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining credit records and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A finance-related certification is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit administration, accounts receivable, or a related financial role
