Qualifications:
- Qualified to at least B.Sc. degree (Hon) level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience, A Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ total Experience in the offshore Oil and Gas Industry, construction Projects including a minimum of 10 years exposure to installation of jackets, decks, bridges, subsea cables, pipelines/risers, hook-up/tie-ins pre-commissioning/commissioning, etc... As appropriate. This experience will be gathered whilst working on offshore construction vessels and barges (both self elevating and derrick/lay barges)
- Thorough knowledge of offshore construction practices, marine/safety regulations,A/QC, welding and coating, Jacket/Deck installation procedures, marine practices for anchor handling/Barge movements, Survey, Navigation and positioning systems, Pipe-Laying, Cable laying and Riser installation, Hook up/tieins. for piping, electrical & instrumentation and system/equipment commissioning procedures.
- Familiarity with international safety codes such as SOLAS/MODU etc. and knowledge of ADNOC Offshore HSE policies, marine and safety regulations and permit to work system. Shall be competent to arrange work.
- permits for contractors and shall ensure compliance with safety regulations by contractors during construction work.
- Shall we be able to organize safety meetings; toolbox talks and safety drills with the contractor.
- Fluency in English.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Being the Focal point of the Project and Represent the Project Management Team for all contractual matters during offshore Installation Campaigns. He shall report to the designated Project Team Leader, or his nominee, in ADNOC office, Abu Dhabi, and will be the focal point for all site communications with contractors, TPA and Operations field personnel.
- Liaise Closely with the ADNOC Offshore Marine Representative on all Marine related activities in the project.
- Ensure that all approved construction procedures are strictly complied with and that prior approval from the Project Team Leader is obtained for any required or recommended changes or deviations through the approved Project MOC procedure.
- Supervise/monitor contractor’s work on a daily basis and communicate any matters deemed to be of concern to the Company.
- Hold Daily Progress Meeting with Contractor Shipboard Management and other stake holders onboard. Minute the meetings and follow close out as required.
- Review any extra work and/or change-order requests by the contractor and record his views on the same. Any variation to contract scope/cost impact to project shall be reported to Project Team Leader and approval from Project Team Leader must be obtained.
- Whilst on site, he shall be responsible for all members of ADNOC Offshore site team, as may be assigned, from the Marine, Safety, and Survey, Engineering or other departments.
- Produce daily reports for the Project Leader highlighting project progress, areas of concern, accidents/incidents if any, his recommendations for improvements in construction practice or design etc.
- Responsible for signing off Contractor’s Daily Progress Reports and record his comments as necessary.
- Ensure regular safety briefings, accident/incident reports & monitor compliance with the HSE requirements of the Contractor.
- Ensure approved operating and HSE & QA procedures and company HSE Standards are in place and adhered to at all times.
- Produce a “Close-Out Report” upon completion of his assignment offshore, including opinions on lessons learnt etc.
