Job Title: Dean – Business Management & Finance

Position Summary:
The Dean of Business Management will provide visionary academic and administrative leadership for the School of Business. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of academic programs in business management, including undergraduate, graduate, and certificate offerings. The Dean will lead faculty and staff to foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and industry relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the institution's mission and goals.
- Promote innovation in curriculum design, teaching, and research within the business programs.
- Academic Oversight:
- Ensure academic quality and accreditation compliance (e.g.,CAA).
- Lead program review and assessment efforts to improve learning outcomes.
- Recruit, support, and evaluate faculty members.
- Student Success & Engagement:
- Promote student recruitment, retention, and career placement initiatives.
- Encourage experiential learning opportunities such as internships, case studies, and consulting projects.
- External Relations:
- Build partnerships with industry, alumni, and other academic institutions.
- Serve as the face of the business school in external engagements and fundraising efforts.
- Operational Management:
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Ensure effective use of technology and administrative systems.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate (Ph.D., DBA) in Business, Management, or a related field required.
- A record of scholarly achievement and teaching excellence eligible for tenure (if applicable).
- At least 5–7 years of academic leadership experience, preferably at the department chair or dean level.
- Knowledge of accreditation processes and industry trends in business education.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in curriculum development and online education.
- Proven record of securing external funding and partnerships.
- Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic settings.
