About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director - Finance to join Madinat Jumeirah. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Oversee the Finance and Accounting department to ensure accurate and timely financial and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with finance directives, legal regulations, and maintain internal accounting controls.Maintain accurate books, records, and monthly reconciliations; prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Lead annual budgets and monthly forecasts; recommend major economic objectives and policies.
- Manage capital purchases and disposals; review management and depreciation reports.
- Develop and contribute to SBU finance strategies; prepare ROI evaluations for capital projects.
- Provide financial training and coaching; set individual development plans for team members.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within 5* luxury hotel.
- University degree in Finance and a Professional Finance accreditation (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA or CIMA).
- Proficiency in computer software systems such as MS Office and knowledge of Opera, Micros, Sun, and Hyperion is essential
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
