Role Purpose
As a member of Worley’s global Compliance team to promote, oversee and implement Worley’s compliance program to ensure that the location’s project operations and functions act adhering to and in compliance with Worley’s Values and Code of Conduct.
The role responsibilities include:
- Being a key point of contact for the ethics and compliance due diligence of third-party business partners in the EMEA region and ensure that due diligence is conducted on all third parties in this region before entering a business relationship
- Conduct risk based due diligence of existing, new, and potential third parties, to identify risks from ethics and compliance perspective including bribery, corruption, money laundering, modern slavery, sanctions, and other unethical conduct.
- Prepare and communicate suitable risk mitigation plans based on the risks identified.
- Mentor and lead the due diligence team members supporting EMEA region in the third-party due diligence process and ensure timely completion of the team’s actionable.
- Identify any gaps arising in the due diligence process on an ongoing basis and escalating relevant matters to the Compliance Program Manager and Chief Compliance Officer.
- Provide guidance to leadership and personnel in the EMEA region on matters relating to ethics and compliance due diligence.
- Develop an annual plan of compliance activities with the location leadership. This should align with the regional compliance roadmap and the global compliance program.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver compliance trainings and workshops in English and other known regional languages to Worley employees as well as third party contractors working on Worley projects to promote ethical conduct, compliance to standards and obligations, confidential reporting of ethical and compliance concerns, including regular topics to specific target groups and leadership.
- Provide necessary support with compliance audits.
- Work closely with the location’s leadership.
- Provide regular updates to the Compliance team.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in ethics and compliance.
- Strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations, international guidelines standards, including Anti Bribery & Corruption laws, general updates, and current trends in the compliance space, in the EMEA region.
- Effective application of legal knowledge and compliance experience to manage complex third-party due diligence reviews.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels, set priorities, establish objectives and milestones, estimate timelines and schedule activities, identify, and allocate resources, effectively.
- Ability to independently manage day to day challenges arising with respect to work deliverables, timelines, and relevant stakeholders
- Should have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
- Self-motivated and solution oriented with excellent mentoring, collaboration, and team building skills.
- Strong understanding of and adherence with Worley’s Code of Conduct and values.
