Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator with comprehensive knowledge of Turnkey Solutions, covering a wide range of project scopes including Interior and Exterior Fit-Out, Civil Works, Joinery, Structural Engineering, MEP, HVAC, Landscaping, and Swimming Pool Construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, coordinating with vendors, and supporting the tendering process for both residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for turnkey construction and fit-out projects.
Interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and landscaping drawings and specifications for estimation.
Conduct quantity take-offs and material/labor analysis for:
Civil works (excavation, concrete, blockwork, etc.)
Interior & exterior fit-outs
Joinery and custom furniture
Structural steel and RCC works
MEP & HVAC systems
Landscaping and swimming pool components
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate pricing.
Support tender and bid submissions by preparing BOQs and cost summaries.
Collaborate with the design, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure estimate accuracy and project alignment.
Update and maintain a cost database and historical data for future projects.
Analyze risks and opportunities in pricing strategy and propose cost-saving alternatives.
Participate in value engineering exercises during the design stage.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in estimation, preferably within turnkey construction or design & build contracting.
Strong technical knowledge in civil, MEP, HVAC, landscaping, and joinery trades.
Proficient in estimation software such as AutoCAD, Planswift, Bluebeam, or MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong understanding of local market rates and construction practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the UAE/GCC market with a strong vendor and subcontractor network.
Familiarity with local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DEWA, etc.)
Knowledge of Green Building standards and sustainable construction practices is a plus.
