Located within the Emirates Government Service Hub, EGSH Café serves as a dedicated in-house coffee spot for staff and visitors, offering a calm space for great coffee and refreshments. We are seeking a professional and reliable Head Barista to manage daily café operations and ensure an excellent beverage experience.
Position Overview:
As the sole Head Barista, you will be fully responsible for preparing all beverages, maintaining high service standards, and overseeing the day-to-day flow of the EGSH Café. You’ll manage inventory, ensure cleanliness, and create a welcoming environment for government staff and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to the highest standards.
- Manage the complete setup, daily operations, and closing of the café independently.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café in line with hygiene and safety standards.
- Ensure coffee equipment and tools are cleaned, maintained, and in perfect working condition.
- Deliver friendly and professional service to all government employees and visitors.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Report daily sales and stock needs to management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of barista experience, preferably in a corporate or specialty café setting.
- Deep knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and espresso machines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and quality.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
Preferred:
Knowledge of stock management and vendor coordination.
Latte art and knowledge of specialty coffee trends is a plus.
