The Head of Operations is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of the organization to ensure efficiency, productivity, and the achievement of strategic business objectives. This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader who can inspire and empower a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, manage resources effectively, and contribute significantly to the overall business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Business Acumen:
* Develop, implement, and manage operational strategies and and initiatives that align with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
* Translate long-term business strategies into actionable daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operational plans with clear targets and KPIs.
* Analyze market trends, identify business opportunities, and proactively develop plans to capitalize on them.
* Contribute to the development of overall business plans and strategies, representing the operational perspective.
* Oversee budget management, cost control, and financial forecasting for the operations department to optimize resource allocation and maximize profitability.
2. Team Leadership & Performance Management:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Set clear, measurable team and individual targets that are aligned with overall business objectives.
* Monitor team performance against targets, conducting regular reviews and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
* Implement performance management frameworks and reward systems to recognize and incentivize high achievement.
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of work delivered by the team, upholding high standards of quality and compliance.
3. Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective processes across all operational areas (e.g., production, service delivery, logistics, supply chain, quality control).
* Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within operational workflows and implement data-driven solutions.
* Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and maintain consistency.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and innovative approaches to enhance operational performance.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
4. Resource Management & Availability:
* Plan, forecast, and manage resource requirements (human, financial, technological, material) to ensure optimal availability at all times.
* Collaborate with HR to strategically recruit, onboard, and retain top talent within the operations team.
* Implement robust resource allocation strategies to ensure projects and daily tasks are adequately staffed and equipped.
* Proactively identify potential resource gaps or risks and develop mitigation plans.
5. Employee Motivation & Retention:
* Create a positive and engaging work environment that motivates employees and fosters a sense of ownership and commitment.
* Develop and implement strategies for employee recognition, professional development, and career growth to enhance employee satisfaction and reduce attrition.

* Foster strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and suppliers to ensure efficient procurement and service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in operations leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
* Demonstrated experience in setting and achieving ambitious performance targets.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
* Excellent strategic thinking and business planning abilities, with experience in developing and executing operational and business plans.
* Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements and drive operational efficiency.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
