About the roleOur associate is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Head of Reconciliation to lead and manage the end-to-end reconciliation process for a high-volume, fast-paced financial environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing complex reconciliations, managing supplier relationships, optimizing receivables, and driving continuous process improvements, including in digital asset (crypto) environments. This role plays a critical function in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency across the business.
Responsibilities:
1. Reconciliation Oversight & Financial Accuracy
- Lead and manage high-volume financial reconciliations across multiple platforms and systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting to support financial integrity.
- Maintain and continuously enhance reconciliation procedures to align with dynamic business needs.
- Ensure all reconciliation and tracking documentation is audit-ready and well-maintained.
2. Supplier Cost Management & Relationship Handling
- Monitor and validate supplier costings to ensure alignment with agreed commercial terms and maintain profitability.
- Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers to resolve financial discrepancies professionally and efficiently.
- Oversee the financial onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring accuracy in pricing structures, contracts, and compliance with internal policies.
3. Interdepartmental Collaboration & Issue Resolution
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve data flow, system integration, and reconciliation turnaround times.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Finance, Operations, and Procurement to proactively address financial discrepancies and bottlenecks.
4. Receivables Management & Cash Flow Forecasting
- Monitor receivables to ensure timely collections and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date cash flow forecasts with a strong focus on receivable inflows.
- Leverage digital asset platforms (e.g., Fireblocks) for secure and efficient fund movements and optimize liquidity.
5. Crypto Transaction Monitoring & Reporting
- Manage reconciliation and reporting of cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring weekly visibility of P&L.
- Ensure robust audit trails and compliance protocols for all digital asset transactions.
6. Team Leadership & Operational Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing reconciliation team, ensuring balanced workload distribution.
- Provide subject matter expertise and act as an escalation point for complex reconciliation issues.
- Champion initiatives to drive team productivity, knowledge sharing, and process excellence.
7. Process Improvement
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process enhancement in reconciliation and receivables.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and controls to ensure consistency, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in financial reconciliation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing reconciliation in high-volume, complex environments, including digital assets or fintech platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, audit standards, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in reconciliation tools, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), and Excel. Experience with crypto/digital asset platforms is a strong plus.
