Inspect and service heavy construction vehicles such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, dumpers, loaders, and trucks.
- Diagnose faults using computerized diagnostic tools.
- Replace defective parts, adjust machinery, lubricate components, and perform routine maintenance.
- Conduct thorough cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, side booms, etc.
- Perform major repairs when needed and support teamwork on smaller jobs.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Document maintenance and repair tasks, complete work orders, manage parts requisitions, and submit inspection reports.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain orderly and clean working environments.
Requirements
- Educational: High school diploma or GED; technical diplomas or certificates in mechanics or heavy equipment are preferred.

- Experience: Typically 2 to 5+ years working in heavy equipment or diesel mechanics.
- Technical know-how: Proficiency with diesel engines, hydraulics, electronics, computerized diagnostics, and machinery repair.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and labor-intensive tasks, and willingness to work flexible hours.
- Additional assets: Driver’s license, forklift certification, ability to communicate in English, and familiarity with health & safety standards and environmental compliance.
