Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inspector - Civil to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of civil engineering projects throughout the city and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough inspections of civil engineering projects, including buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure
- Verify that construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, and relevant building codes
- Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to project standards
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations on construction sites
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on civil engineering matters
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and project documentation
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in civil engineering and construction
- Travel to various construction sites throughout Abu Dhabi as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering or construction inspection
- Proficiency in civil engineering principles and practices
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures
- Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in construction
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in using inspection software and digital reporting tools
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various construction sites throughout Abu Dhabi
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team environment
