Job Summary:
Responsible for managing production schedules, leading the workshop team, ensuring high-quality standards, and meeting project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management:
- Plan, schedule, and manage daily joinery production activities.
- Oversee workflow from design to fabrication and assembly.
- Ensure production targets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate workshop staff including joiners, machinists, and finishers.
- Delegate tasks, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training as needed.
- Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all products meet technical specifications and client requirements.
- Conduct inspections and implement quality assurance protocols.
- Work closely with design and project teams to resolve technical issues.
- Resource & Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials and consumables.
- Liaise with suppliers and procurement for timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Health & Safety:
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations in the workshop.
- Carry out risk assessments and ensure safe working practices.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Provide regular updates to senior management on production status, challenges, and improvements.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and installers for smooth project handovers.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a joinery or woodworking manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD designs.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
