Job Summary:

IIQAF is seeking experienced and dedicated individuals to join our team as Kitchen Stewards. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our busy, high-quality kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspace are properly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards
• Stock and restock kitchen supplies, including dishes, cutlery, and cooking equipment
• Assist with food preparation and cooking, under the guidance of the Chef
• Dispose of trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized waste management area
• Follow proper food storage and labeling procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, ensuring that all dishes, pots, and pans are washed, sanitized, and stored properly
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and a clean and tidy environment
• Notify the Chef or management of any equipment or maintenance issues
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a kitchen steward or in a similar role is preferred
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and team spirit
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
