The laborer will be responsible for assissting with various physical tasks in construction, landscape, or other labor-intensive environments. The primary duties include manual labor, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. This role requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and the ability to effectively as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
- Assist with setup and cleanup of work sites including removing debris and disposing of waste materials.
- Operate hand tools and power equipment as directed by supervisors.
- Assist skilled tradespeople, such as masons, carpenters or electricians, with their tasks.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment for oneself and others.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, including storage areas and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to coordinate tasks and ensure productivity.
- Adhere to project schedules and deadlines to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or project managers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
